A Doctor’s Journey to Regenerative Medicine

Dr. Peter Johnson, adjunct professor of bioengineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, and Wake Forest University, visited the RTP Rotary Club to discuss his work both as a clinician and as a medical researcher. Dr. Johnson shared with Rotarians his personal decision to transition from his work as a full-time practicing plastic surgeon to heading up an effort to help patients by turning his focus to regenerative medicine. Dr. Johnson leadership positions including serving as the current president of the North Carolina Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society.
